RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Trading systems and Compliance Engineer for a high-visibility role supporting their Commodity Trading and Risk Management team. They are seeking a senior-level resource (8+ years) with deep expertise in exchange-traded derivatives, market data platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitiv), and regulatory frameworks like MiFID II and EMIR.
Overview:
* Use technical skills to ensure business requirements are understood at all levels of delivery
* Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support, and technical business users
* Serve as an subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives
* Communicate effectively with business, development, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams
* Analyze and map RFQ, order and trade lifecycles to help formulate solutions that will improve quality & efficiency across our trading systems
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management or Capital Markets/Investment Banks - to bring credible externalization of mindset and approach and ensure we are cost: value-competitive
* Hands-on experience in delivering scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant and flexible way.; Experience of Algo regulation, audit and compliance (e.g. MIFID2 & RTS6) is highly desirable
* Experience with EMS/OMS platforms (TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg)
* Experience with application support and vendor management
* Experience in analyzing and implementing regulatory initiatives (e.g. MIFID II, MAD/MAR)
* Strong experience in exchange certification, application Deployment and support
* Solid relevant experience in FIX Engineering
* Experience in messaging systems, and experience debugging network protocols such as TCP, multicast, would be highly regarded
* A background in commodities, capital markets, or investment banking
* Knowledge of full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle
* Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms
* Knowledge of Third-Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors. (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen)
* Understanding of all major global futures exchanges
* Understanding of financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines
* Understanding of trading lifecycle, including order capture & execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements
* Exposure to both Windows and Linux environments
* Strong communication and troubleshooting skills to support front-office users in a trading environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions
* Must have strong technical skills in scripting, Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL or other programming languages
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
