Infrastructure Engineer

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Infrastructure Engineering Lead to join our Technology team. This role is located in [Jersey City] - [4 days a week].

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Lead the development of infrastructure engineering growth strategies and initiatives.
  • Analyze complex infrastructure problems and design advanced solutions to address them.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing infrastructure technology and tools, and develop strategies for upgrades to enhance reliability, resiliency, and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership to execute project plans and performance requirements through effective management of human capital resources.
  • Manage compliance of all systems, applications, software, and hardware with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, internal partners, and business teams to address infrastructure and tool needs.
  • Work closely with Application Development, Quality Assurance, Testing, and Business teams to ensure infrastructure requirements are integrated throughout development, testing, and production processes.
  • Act as an escalation point for major incidents and lead initiatives to increase automation across the organization.
  • Monitor project plans and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
  • Contribute to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.10-12 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Subject matter expertise in multiple infrastructure tools and technologies, with deep expertise in at least one.
  • Proven leadership experience managing complex infrastructure projects and teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and implement strategic infrastructure solutions.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $ 102000 and $ 195,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
