Job Description

The Engineer II, ServiceNow is responsible for the design, development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role blends technical expertise with analytical skills to translate business requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions and provide technical leadership to the development team.

This position will work closely with stakeholders across IT and business units to deliver scalable solutions aligned with ITIL best practices, organizational standards, and strategic direction.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, administer, and implement ServiceNow solutions, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and support continuous improvement.
  • Translate business needs into functional/technical requirements and document user stories.
  • Analyze workflows, recommend process improvements, and align with ITIL best practices.
  • Proactively identify automation opportunities and efficiency gains.
  • Support platform administration tasks (monitoring, upgrades, access management).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, infrastructure, and security teams.
  • Create and enhance integrations between ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Support system/QA/UAT testing and deployment.
  • Define reporting needs, build dashboards, and leverage Performance Analytics.
  • Develop SOPs, training materials, and conduct user training sessions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Build custom applications and workflows using ServiceNow APIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow experience with focus on ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, ITBM.
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA) required; Implementation Specialist or Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
  • Strong experience in workflow automation, process design, and business analysis.
  • Hands-on development with JavaScript, Java, or C#.
  • Strong SQL development & performance tuning skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills
