Location: Hybrid Austin, TX 78729 (3 Days in office)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable ServiceNow Engineer to join our dynamic IT Operations team. This role is critical for a high-priority project currently in mid-flight. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in the ServiceNow platform and be capable of hitting the ground running to support ongoing development and implementation efforts. A significant focus of this role will be supporting and enhancing our Hardware Asset Management (HAM) capabilities. While broad ServiceNow experience is required, specific experience with the HAM module is a major differentiator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rapid Integration: Quickly ramp up on existing project workflows, architecture, and team processes to contribute effectively within the first two weeks.
  • HAM Module Optimization: Lead or assist in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module.
  • Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, including UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Workflows.
  • Integration Support: Develop and manage integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems (e.g., discovery tools, procurement systems).
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and fellow engineers in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Tier 3 support for complex platform issues, specifically related to Asset Management and core ITSM functions.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a ServiceNow Engineer or Developer.
  • Platform Knowledge: Proficiency in ServiceNow ITSM (Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge) and CMDB.
  • Technical Skills: Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills within the ServiceNow framework.
