Overview

We are seeking Smart Building / BMS Engineers or Technicians to support video surveillance, building automation, and lighting control systems for state facilities.

This role is hands-on and suited for candidates with experience in either Milestone XProtect OR Niagara 4, plus exposure to building systems, low-voltage, or controls.

Candidates strong in one platform and willing to ramp on others are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and support Milestone Systems XProtect VMS

  • Work with Niagara 4 (Tridium) building automation systems

  • Support lighting control systems

  • Assist with low voltage cabling and device connectivity

  • Coordinate with IT, facilities, and security teams

  • Maintain documentation (drawings, wiring, configurations)

  • Support commissioning and system troubleshooting


Required Skills

Candidates must have at least TWO of the following:

  • Milestone Systems (XProtect preferred)

  • Niagara 4 / Tridium framework

  • Building Automation Systems (BMS)

  • Lighting controls (Daintree, Wattstopper, nLight, Lutron, etc.)

  • Low voltage systems / structured cabling

  • IP networking fundamentals (IP, VLANs, switches)


Preferred

  • BACnet or Modbus

  • Commissioning or field deployment experience

  • State / government facility projects

  • Milestone or Niagara certifications
