Our client is looking for a Snowflake DBT architect at Boston, MA (Hybrid) It's a Long Term Contract opportunity.

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote per week

Job Description:

Job Summary:

  • The Snowflake dbt Architect is responsible for designing and leading modern analytics engineering solutions using Snowflake Data Cloud and dbt.
  • This role focuses on building scalable ELT architectures, defining data models, and establishing best practices for transformation, testing, and deployment to deliver trusted analytics-ready data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design end-to-end ELT solutions using Snowflake and dbt
  • Define and implement data modeling standards (star/snowflake, dimensional, marts)
  • Lead dbt project structure, environments, and deployment strategies
  • Develop and optimize dbt models, macros, tests, and documentation
  • Implement data quality, freshness, and observability frameworks
  • Optimize Snowflake performance and cost using warehouse sizing, clustering, and caching
  • Enable CI/CD pipelines for dbt using Git-based workflows
  • Define governance, security, and access control standards (RBAC, masking, row access policies)
  • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders
  • Mentor engineers and establish analytics engineering best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud
  • Expertise in dbt (Core/Cloud) and ELT-based architectures
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and cost optimization
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices
