Job Title: Snowplow Taxonomy Consultant
Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Overview:

We are seeking a Snowplow expert to lead the design and implementation of a scalable event taxonomy framework. This role will focus on building consistent event tracking across web and mobile platforms while ensuring data quality, governance, and seamless integration with downstream systems.

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years in data architecture, analytics engineering, or event instrumentation.
• 3+ years hands-on Snowplow experience (Iglu schema registry, pipeline setup).
• Strong expertise in event taxonomy design and schema governance.
• Experience integrating Snowplow with mobile apps (Swift/Kotlin) and web platforms.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, SDUI, and data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Knowledge of BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Apollo Server, GraphQL subgraphs, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Background in financial services or personal finance domains.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement a scalable event taxonomy using Snowplow.
• Lead pipeline setup, tracking integration, and schema validation.
• Establish governance models and version control for taxonomy evolution.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align data strategy with business needs.
• Create documentation, training guides, and monitoring processes.
