Software Architect

MTSI is seeking a highly capable Software Architect/Engineer with a proven track record of collaboration within cross-functional software teams.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant experience; 8+ years preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, and delegate tasks on major autonomy software development efforts.
• Experience developing autonomous systems software for Group 4/5 UAS platforms.
• Comfortable working in consortium environments with government and contractor partners; strong communication and collaboration skills required.
• Experienced in remote/distributed team settings.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and technical leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages strongly preferred.
• Broad understanding of software disciplines, including database design, content management systems, and enterprise service bus architecture.
• Background in complex military system software development, including systems-of-systems integration and modernization of legacy platforms.
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as AFSIM (Analysis Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling) and JSE (Joint Simulation Environment).
• Working knowledge of systems engineering principles, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
• Experience with autonomy systems and their integration, including adherence to interface standards like OMS/UCI, NATO STANAGs, and MIL-STDs.
• Preferred: Knowledge of airworthiness, flight safety protocols, and integration of software with real-world military systems.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Development, or a related field required.

Equivalent experience and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Security Clearance:

Active TOP SECRET with SCI eligability is required.

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this role.
