The Opportunity

Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) enables businesses to deliver the right experience at the right time to their customers. The Interactive Segmentation Service is one of the key AEP services, providing the ability to define customer segments and generate target audiences based on real-time customer profiles. Customer segment definitions are sophisticated queries over profile and event data capturing specific attributes or behaviors shared by a subset of users. With the need to perform trillions of audience segment evaluations per day, scalability and efficiency are paramount in segment evaluation. This is a great opportunity for engineers to solve extremely interesting challenges of scale and build core services that are used by all Adobe Digital Experience solutions. As part of building these services, you will work with an exceptionally talented and collaborative team, tackle large scale data management and complex query evaluation challenges, design & implement innovative algorithms and build highly performant services.

What you'll Do
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers & product managers in building a cutting edge features on the data and exposing foundational REST APIs and SDKs
  • Develop and implement techniques for large scale distributed data management across data lake and warehouse style environments
  • Develop and implement sketch based algorithms on the data
  • Explore tradeoffs across various data management techniques
  • Deploy production services and iteratively improve them based on customer feedback
  • Follow Agile methodologies using industry leading CI/CD pipelines
  • Participate in architecture, design & code reviews
What you need to succeed
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is required
  • M.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience is preferred
  • Practical experience at scale in distributed systems or databases
  • Knowledge and experience in data lakes, data warehouses or Spark is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in Cloud based storage technologies like ADLS, S3, CosmosDB, Dynamo
  • Strong programming skills with extensive experience in Java or Scala
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience collaborating across teams is preferred
  • Adaptable to evolving priorities, accepting challenges outside one's comfort zone, learning new technologies, and delivering viable solutions within defined time boundaries.
  • Ability to think through solutions from a short term and long-term lens in an iterative development cycle.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $124,000 -- $234,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
