This exciting opportunity is for a Software Engineer, GoLang position based in New York, NY, requiring work on highly scalable systems for live streaming and ad insertion. The company offers flexible engagement models for junior to senior levels.


About the Opportunity:



  • Contract to hire

  • Hybrid or Remote: Hybrid, 4x a week onsite in New York, NY

  • Shift: Standard business hours

  • Schedule: Full-time

  • Hours: 40 hours a week

  • Setting: Tech company handling live events for streaming services


Responsibilities:


The Software Engineer, GoLang will be responsible for:



  • Designing, building, and maintaining software services using GoLang

  • Supporting systems responsible for live streaming and real-time operations

  • Developing asynchronous, event-driven architectures

  • Working across backend and frontend components

  • Collaborating with Product Owners and cross-functional teams


Qualifications:



  • Experience as a Software Engineer

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • GoLang experience (required)

  • Experience with AWS

  • Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS

  • Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

  • Strong communication skills


Desired Skills:



  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

  • Certification in cloud technologies (optional)

  • Experience in media or streaming platforms

  • Strong team collaboration skills.
