EMPLOYER: Optum Services Inc.

JOB TITLE: Software Engineer

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES: Research, design, and develop network computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Duties include: Daily administration of the Blue Prism and Power Automate live environment (running processes, maintaining resource PCs, and viewing logs); Case Management, managing and allocating process workloads; Managing and investigating exceptions (Business and System Exceptions); Solving issues that arise in the day to day running of Blue Prism processes and assisting in the provision of timely responses and solutions as required; Communicating with Business users on the requirements, development and support related items; Provide first line support for the Power Automate processes; Understand the business processes in detail where required; Design the process as per the agreed standards to solve the business needs; Configure Blue Prism and Power Automate processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand; Record and try to solve issues that arise on Blue Prism and Power Automate processes that are live; Support existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process; Mentor colleagues through the Blue Prism and Power Automate training and certification program - provide advice and guidance on best practice and development techniques; Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of Blue Prism processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required; Communicate with Power Automate CoE, and Support on software related issues, suggested improvements; Work within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process; and Ability to get an automated process back in production once issues are identified and resolved. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Engineering-related occupation.

Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

* Processing Automation Using RPA Tools including Blue Prism and Power Automate;
* Database experience with Sql Server, Oracle, MySql, including writing queries and stored procedures;
* Azure, AWS, and other Cloud Platforms;
* Azure Dev Ops;
* AI/ML platforms leveraging automation efficiency;
* Copilot, Power Applications Suite;
* Building components and frameworks with Java, J2EE, Eclipse IDE;
* ETL frameworks and Tools such as Informatica or Teradata;
* Building Excel Macros, VBA components, Unix Shell Scripts, and Office Scripts;
* Agile and SCRUM Frameworks for SDLC; and
* SDLC tools and Softwares including Rally, JIRA, Service Now, and AHA.

RATE OF PAY: $106,579 - $155,295 / per year
