Job Details

Do you love solving challenging problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you'll work with many different teams across Apple? Work as part of the Beta Program team for our software releases! The Software Beta Program allows customers to provide feedback to Apple on software projects before and after they are released, helping to drive key improvements in our products. We are looking for a dynamic and well-rounded Software Engineer to develop and enhance the capabilities of our tools and automated systems for processing and analyzing feedback. On this team you will also interact with external customers and collaborate with engineering teams, project management staff, and other quality organizations to analyze data, identify key trends, and champion high-impact issues to drive the best possible software releases.

Description This is a diverse role that includes: * Supporting ongoing development of our tools and systems for processing of feedback * Designing, implementing, and evaluating algorithms and models to enhance the performance and capabilities of our systems. * Directly contacting external customers, internal program management, and engineering teams * Monitoring pre and post-release public feedback to identify customer critical issues the field * Reporting on progress of seeding programs, assessment of incoming feedback, and other project status * Investigating issues reported by our outside users through test reproduction, debugging, and diagnostics analysis * Reviewing bugs and working with engineering teams to isolate and appropriately prioritize response * Identifying trends and insights from large and complex data

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related experience
  • Industry experience in software engineering, data engineering, or similar
  • Strong fundamentals in problem solving, algorithm design, and model building
  • Ability to debug hard problems and investigate root cause analysis
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI and LLMs
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong software development skills with proficiency in Python
  • Proven experience in LMM development, fine-tuning, and application building
  • Real passion for user-focused design & high quality technology

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
