Job Title: Software Engineer (Backend)
Location: Mountain View, CA- Hybrid
Duration: 1 month ONLY W2
Job Summary
We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to support a Google team building an AI-powered writing tool used for help center and internal content creation. This is a leave coverage role focused on feature development and rapid iteration within an established production system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance backend features for an AI writing platform
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional partners
- Support rapid feature iterations based on user feedback
- Contribute to frontend tasks when required (limited scope)
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Kotlin (backend development)
- Working knowledge of Java
- Experience building features in production systems
- Ability to ramp up quickly in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Python (future roadmap)
- Familiarity with AI / LLM-based systems (nice to have)
- Prior Google or large-scale tech environment experience
- Basic frontend exposure (Angular / JavaScript)
