About the Role

As a Software Engineer in this contingent assignment, you'll play a strategic role in solving complex engineering challenges that span large-scale systems and long-term initiatives. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, build, and optimize software solutions that drive impact across the organization. This role demands deep technical expertise, a passion for mentoring, and a strong commitment to engineering excellence.
Responsibilities

• Lead and consult on high-impact software engineering initiatives with broad organizational reach.
• Analyze and resolve multifaceted technical challenges involving novel or ambiguous factors.
• Design scalable, cloud-native applications using modern frameworks and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, coaching, and technical guidance.
• Drive quality through automated testing, performance engineering, and continuous integration.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or equivalent (e.g., military, education, consulting).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Core Java and Spring Framework.
• 3+ years of experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs and working with microservices architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience working in Agile development environments.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with SDLC tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, and Harness.
• Strong background in BDD and automation testing using tools like Selenium, HyperExecute, and Octane.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or BlazeMeter.
• 5+ years of experience working with JSON and data serialization.
• 3+ years of experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• 1+ year of experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker).
• 1+ year of experience with React or other modern UI frameworks.
• 4+ years of experience writing JUnit test cases.
• 2+ years of experience building Single Page Applications (SPA) with micro frontend architecture.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing cloud-native applications.
