About the Role
As an iOS engineer on the AM&D Mobility Experience team, you'll build intuitive, informative, and delightful AV (Autonomous Vehicle) trip experiences-spanning educational and promotional surfaces, booking flows, and in-trip experiences. This role sits hybrid (Tues-Thurs) in Uber's Seattle office.
What You Will Do
- Build scalable and performant iOS features to enhance the AV rider experience
- Partner closely with designers, PMs, and backend engineers to improve trip metrics like opt-in rate, enroute cancel rate, and post-trip feedback
- Drive AV-centric UI/UX patterns that build trust and clarity for riders
- Measure impact using deep funnel instrumentation and iterate on product surfaces
\\-\\-\\-\\- Basic Qualifications ----
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of iOS engineering experience in Swift
- Understanding of user experience and performance optimization on mobile
- Self-starter mindset and a bias for shipping impactful features
\\-\\-\\-\\- Preferred Qualifications ----
- Experience designing and launching UX experiments or A/B tests
- Exposure to consumer mobile apps at scale
- Experience working on transportation, delivery, or real-time logistics applications
- Familiarity with analytics instrumentation and funnel optimization techniques
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year.
