Software Engineer II

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Mountain View, CA that is seeking a Software Engineer II.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and Deploy AI Agents: Lead the design and development of autonomous AI agents and agentic workflows that streamline internal operations and strategic initiatives
* Build and Scale: Design, develop, and deploy resilient and scalable services for internal-facing AI agents that reason over complex data and perform multi-step tasks
* Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders and partners across the company to help identify high-impact opportunities for automation and deliver intelligent insights
* Innovate and Apply Technology: Actively explore and apply novel AI technologies and methodologies (LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks) to solve complex operational challenges
* Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to ensure the smooth integration and adoption of AI-driven solutions across the organization
* Data Integrity: Establish and maintain robust data quality standards and governance practices for the datasets used by our AI agents, ensuring accuracy and reliability

REQUIREMENTS:
* Educational Foundation: BS/MS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
* Core Experience: 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a proven track record of contributing to complex, scalable systems
* AI Development Experience: Strong experience building with Large Language Models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) using Python, and a track record of designing and deploying AI agents or agentic workflows, with familiarity in modern frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI
* Technical Proficiency: Solid software engineering practices for building microservices, APIs, and working with cloud-native infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
* Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Experience with TypeScript is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
