As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commerce Payments, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. Job responsibilities
- Creates secure and high-quality production code to handle high volume of data with low latency and high durability.
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Actively engage in coding tasks, demonstrating a strong commitment to hands-on development and problem-solving.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience in developing applications using any cloud technologies, to create and manage cloud-based applications.
- Good understanding of batch-based and real time data processing technologies
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python and database querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands-on experience in Terraform (IAC) to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- AWS is preferred
