As a DevOps Software Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the build, deployment, and operational readiness of the Global Servicing Solutions (GSS) platform. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and monitoring of application components across environments. About the Role
As a DevOps Software Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the build, deployment, and operational readiness of the Global Servicing Solutions (GSS) platform. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and monitoring of application components across environments. This role requires a strong foundation in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and software engineering principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage build and deployment pipelines for GSS application components across non-production environments.
- Partner with Platform Support to configure monitoring, alerting, and coordinate production releases.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to configure and maintain both non-production and production environments.
- Ensure environment availability and readiness in coordination with Product and Engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues in collaboration with engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Maintain compliance by completing Change Management and Secure SDLC documentation for each release.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and documentation of non-functional requirements and minor feature enhancements.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Gradle, Artifactory, SonarQube, and CheckMarx.
- Experience with deployment automation tools like uDeploy and Harness.
- Hands-on experience managing applications in cloud environments (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS).
- 2+ years of experience with container orchestration platforms such as OpenShift.
- Strong programming background with 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE.
- 2+ years of experience with Spring Framework.
- Experience with Microservices and Micro Frontend architectures.
- Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of API design patterns and unit testing practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
