Position Overview
Seeking a Systems Engineer for a temporary contract role. You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting client robotics systems, implement automation solutions, and ensure operational excellence across our technology stack. We seek an engineer who can onboard quickly, learn independently, and work fast. They need good software engineering practices, typical of a senior engineer, but most of the code they will be writing will be in the form of lambdas.
The position can be remote (though locals are preferred so as to go into the office occasionally.
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, software development, or DevOps roles
- High Level Proven expertise with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
- Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, networking, and operating systems
- High Level Software Engineering Proficiency in Python or Go.
- Demonstrated ability to automate operational tasks and implement monitoring solutions
Highly Desirable Attributes
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Experience with observability tools and practices (metrics, logging, tracing)
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirements
- Experience testing, deploying, and monitoring robotic systems and software
- Track record of delivering AWS services with measurable impact
