Software Engineers-Simulation (Associate and Experienced)

The Boeing Company is currently seeking Software Engineers-Simulation (Associate and Experienced) to support our Flight Deck Display Development located in Seattle, Washington. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) business organization.
In this role, you will provide simulated flight deck displays for use in our Commercial Airplane Engineering flight simulators and a variety of test environments. You will design, implement, and maintain the simulated flight deck displays and underlying software required for current and future simulated displays. You will work with our group of experienced engineers that team with Boeing Flight Deck Engineers and others as they work to develop requirements and new products for future and current BCA aircraft. We are seeking candidates who possess outstanding problem-solving skills and excel in collaborative settings.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

- Develop software simulations of airplane avionics instrument flight displays.
- Integrate simulated displays and applications with the airplane simulation.
- Ensure simulated displays work on the desktop, in Flight Deck Demonstrators, and in engineering flight simulators.
- Work with Flight Deck engineers to define and develop advanced flight displays and applications in support of various projects and studies.
- Actively collaborate with the Flight Deck team in the creation and implementation of new concepts or modifications to existing designs.
- Provide support for testing and demonstration sessions.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- 2+ years programming experience in C/C++
- 2+ years utilizing Linux/Windows operating systems
- Strong problem solving, testing and debugging skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 1+ years of experience with MATLAB Simulink mode-based development
- 1+ years of experience with AI Data Modeling Tools and Frameworks (e.g. Pytorch, Tensorflow)
- 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Experience with C/C++ on Windows using Visual Studio
- Experience and/or education in graphics and logic modeling tools such as: Presagis VAPS XT A661
- Knowledge of OpenGL graphics programming, QT
- Experience with Python, Perl, git, Windows batch files, Automated Build systems, Agile
- Have a good understanding of aircraft simulation concepts
- Knowledge of the ARINC 661 standard for Cockpit Display Systems
- Knowledge of airplane systems
- Knowledge of or interest in aircraft flight decks and aircraft-human interfaces
- Understanding of software development lifecycle
