Software QA, Endpoint Security Platform

Join an innovative consumer device company as a skilled Software Engineer specializing in QA for Security, with a focus on endpoint security platforms. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in testing and ensuring the robustness of various security. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of security solutions across mobile and PC platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Develop expertise in product solutions, deep diving into design/architecture, create & execute test cases covering E2E.
• Defect logging and defect tracking until bug closure.
• Build Test harness & required Automation suites.
• Validate generated events & logging and verify False positives and False negatives.
• Analyze test results, document issues, and collaborate closely with teams for resolution.
• Takes ownership/responsibility for the product quality during monthly/quarterly releases
• Coordinate with program management, security architects at internal and offshore sites.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience in testing Endpoint security platforms or Mobile threat defense (MTD) and security testing (Android or Windows)
• Experience testing Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Extended Detection & Response (XDR) platforms, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security operation center (SOC) enablement’s, Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR) or related products.
• Experience in both mobile and PC security solutions.
• Extensive Knowledge in Java or C/Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Bonus Skillset:

• Prior experience testing Mobile Threat Defense (MTD).
• Prior experience with Android platform security.
• Prior experience working in an R&D environment.

Type: Contract

Duration: 12+ months

Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid work schedule: 3 days/ week onsite)

Pay Rate Range: $64.50-78.50/hr (DOE)
