Job Details

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solution Architect for a 12 month contract role in the healthcare industry in Eagan, MN. This role is 100% remote.

Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled IT Solution Architect with deep experience in regulated environments, particularly those involving Protected Health Information (PHI). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST), and will be adept at designing secure, scalable, and compliant IT solutions. Additionally, this role requires expertise in supporting development teams by architecting and provisioning non-production environments that meet regulatory and operational requirements. The Solution Architect role is key for defining and aligning the go-forward architecture.

Key Responsibilities
Architect and design end-to-end IT solutions that comply with regulatory standards, especially those involving PHI
Collaborate with security, compliance, and privacy teams to ensure solutions meet internal and external audit requirements
Define and implement environment strategies for development, testing, staging, and QA, ensuring data protection and operational efficiency
Work closely with DevOps, cloud and infrastructure platform teams to provision secure and scalable non-production environments
Provide technical expertise: Serve as the go-to person for non-production environment definition
Ensure compliance and security: Design environments that adhere to industry standards, regulations, and security protocols
Lead technical assessments and recommend improvements to existing systems and architectures
Lead technical teams: Work with engineers and developers in developing optimal solutions
Document architecture decisions, data flows, and compliance controls.
Other Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as assigned to meet Program goals

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. (High school diploma or GED required)

Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
o 7+ years in Business Analysis, System Design and Development, Systems Engineering, or Technical Architecture; to include 3 years direct experience working within an Architect role
o Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), on premise solutions and hybrid architecture
o Experience in designing and building self-service platforms for application developers and engineers
o Experience with virtual desktop solutions
o Proven experience supporting development teams with tool preparation and configuration, environment setup, CI/CD pipelines, and secure data access
o Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and other data privacy regulations
o Experience designing solutions that handle PHI and sensitive data securely
o Strong knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or C#
o Experience with modern API architecture and best practices
o Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills for presenting ideas and achieving consensus
o Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience using tools such as Terraform AWS CloudFormation
o Proficiency in modeling architectures using industry-standard tools like ArchiMate, Visio, or Miro
o Familiarity with cloud security principles, data protection, and compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2
o Self-learner and ability to work independently
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
o Strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Experiences / Skills
Knowledge of SAFe Agile Framework and TOGAF principles
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Architect
Familiarity with cloud architecture in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or healthcare
Advanced knowledge of cloud-native and traditional databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery)
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Knowledge of data anonymization, tokenization, and data governance practices

Compensation:
Hourly W2 pay: $90.00 to $100.00/hour

We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
