About the job you’re considering
As a Solution Architect – MDG Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions for enterprise clients. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in SAP Data Management and a passion for designing scalable, efficient, and innovative data governance frameworks. You will be responsible for leading client engagements, shaping solution architecture, and ensuring successful delivery in a hybrid onsite/offshore model.
Your Role:
- Serve as the primary architect and advisor for SAP MDG implementations, focusing on Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Financial Objects, and Material master data domains.
- Lead the configuration and customization of MDG components, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data models, UI configurations, derivations, validations, and rule-based workflows using BRF+.
- Oversee data replication and integration using ALE/IDOC, key and value mapping, and manage data export/import and conversion processes.
- Present architectural solutions and project updates to senior client leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.Manage delivery across onsite and offshore teams, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
Your skills and experience
- 10+ years of techno-functional experience in SAP Data Management, including:
- SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
- SAP Data Services (BODS)
- SAP Information Steward
- 7+ years in a client-facing consulting role, with proven experience managing delivery in an onsite/offshore model.
- Deep expertise in: MDG configuration for various master data domains
- Data/process modeling and UI design
- BRF+ for rule-based workflows
- Duplicate data checks and derivations
- Strong understanding of: Replication frameworks and data transfer mechanisms
- ALE/IDOC, key/value mapping, and master data conversion
- Familiarity with broader data platform ecosystems such as NetWeaver, XI, Tibco, and ABAP (a plus).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in engaging with senior stakeholders.
