Solution Architect Snowflake on Azure

Location: Remote (USA)
Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a Solution Architect with deep expertise in Snowflake on Azure to lead the design of a scalable, secure enterprise data platform. The role focuses on defining future-state architecture, optimizing ingestion and transformation workflows, and enabling analytics and AI/ML readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end data architecture using Snowflake on Azure, including landing zones and cloud standards.

  • Build ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows with Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, and Fabric Data Factory.

  • Implement governance, security-by-design (RBAC/ABAC, encryption), and compliance alignment.

  • Develop metadata-driven pipelines aligned with Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).

  • Integrate Snowflake with BI tools, APIs, and data science platforms.

  • Ensure readiness for real-time data flows, automation, and AI/ML workloads.

  • Partner with engineering teams and SMEs on architectural decisions and roadmap execution.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12 20 years of overall technology experience, with strong enterprise data architecture exposure.

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake on Azure (RBAC, optimization, performance tuning).

  • Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, Azure Functions, and related Azure services.

  • Experience designing Medallion architecture and scalable ingestion frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of governance, IAM, security, and compliance.

  • Experience with real-time and batch data pipelines.

  • Excellent communication and architectural decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Fabric, Databricks, Spark, or advanced analytics platforms.

  • Exposure to AI/ML, vector databases, or LLM-ready architecture.

  • Consulting experience in enterprise data modernization.
