JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with extensive experience in Medicare and Medicaid to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with expertise in Java (mandatory) and familiarity with .NET (nice to have). This role requires a foundational understanding of architecture, proficiency in Agile environments, and cloud integration experience, preferably in Azure.

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions, ensuring integration across multiple systems, and documenting technical requirements and architectures. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for providing Solutioning of the service, technical guidance, and ensuring best practices in software and system architecture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Architect and design solutions for Medicare and Medicaid systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security best practices.
  • Develop and implement cloud-based solutions in Azure, focusing on integration, data lakes, and structured data sets.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and product owners to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Provide technical documentation and solution architecture designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead the development and integration efforts, ensuring seamless connectivity between various applications and platforms.
  • Support Agile methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and iterative solution delivery.
  • Ensure best practices in technical writing and maintain high-quality documentation standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools to enhance system capabilities and performance.
  • Support API integration strategies and cloud-native services, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless end-to-end solutioning of services.
  • Work with MuleSoft (nice to have) for API integrations and connectivity solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master s degree in a relevant field (MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related).
  • Previous hands-on software development experience with Java (mandatory); .NET experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of foundational architecture principles, including design patterns, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
  • Proven experience in Agile methodologies and working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Must have cloud experience in Azure, including cloud integration, API management, and data lakes/data sets.
  • Technical writing and strong documentation skills are required.
  • Medicare and Medicaid experience is a must-have, with knowledge of healthcare data standards, interoperability, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with MuleSoft or other integration platforms (nice to have).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to present solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in solutioning services to meet business and IT needs.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards in the healthcare industry.
  • Hands-on experience with API management tools and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of Big Data, AI/ML, or analytics integration in cloud environments is a plus.
