The Solutions Architect for Hyperion Planning is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Oracle Hyperion EPM solutions to support enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role bridges business needs with technical capabilities, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Architect and implement Hyperion Planning solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Define technical standards, data models, and integration strategies across EPM and ERP systems.
- Lead design sessions and workshops with cross-functional teams.
System Implementation & Support:
- Oversee full lifecycle of Hyperion Planning implementations including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Develop and maintain Essbase cube structures, business rules, calculation scripts, and aggregation logic.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between finance, IT, and business units to translate functional needs into technical solutions.
- Provide training and documentation to end users and stakeholders.
- Support ad hoc reporting and analytics using SmartView and Financial Reports.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously enhance Hyperion Planning applications to improve user experience and data quality.
- Standardize data definitions and monitor data integrity for strategic decision-making.
Project Leadership:
- Lead project teams and mentor junior staff.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
- Proven experience in at least 3 Hyperion Planning implementations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and financial planning processes.
- Proficiency in SmartView, Financial Reports, and integration with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud).
- Certifications such as Oracle EPM, PMP are a plus.
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in ASO/BSO cube architecture and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with related Oracle EPM modules (HPCM, EDMCS, PCMCS).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
