Job Description:
  • Markets Group is looking for a Full Stack Engineer with extensive technical breadth of experience in JPasS and cloud technologies.
  • This will be a key position leading the development teams in the cloud strategy integration and execution for the Markets Business Technology organization in partnership with System IT.
  • In this role, candidates will use candidates technological expertise to integrate highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud solutions that address customer needs while reflecting cloud principles and best practices.
  • Candidates will help shape cloud strategies, and support with sizing, scope, and direction for new engagements.
  • Candidates will contribute to innovation, anchor Proof of Concept activities, and guide technological direction for the cloud.
  • The role focuses on developing an integration strategy for web applications in the cloud using leading-edge technologies to create resilient and effective environments.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • AWS Certification (Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).
  • Master's Degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required.
  • 6+ years software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile.
  • 2+ years of experience deploying Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform solutions
  • 2+ years of experience deploying cloud-based solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience deploying hybrid cloud-based solutions.
  • 8+ years of broad technical experience in IT and MIS, including managing highly complex IT efforts and/or operations.
  • 8+ years of IT experience directly related to software design and development, with at least 2+ years in cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in high velocity DevOps teams.
  • Proficiency in Java Fullstack Engineering, development, and Cloud platforms.
Experience:
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with OCP, Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, serverless, and modern web applications (AngularJS, React, single-page applications).
  • Cloud strategy (business case development, application assessment, migration planning, operating model design).
  • Cloud security (IAM, WAF, OWASP, vulnerabilities, compensating controls).
  • Cloud-native services optimization and integration to modern cloud patterns.
  • Containerization (Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
  • Cloud-native monitoring and logging (ELK, Splunk, CloudWatch).
  • Application Integration Services (REST API, API Gateway, MuleSoft).
  • CI/CD practices, automated testing, code quality scanning, and deployments (Jenkins, Jira, Remedy).
  • Mentoring and serving as SME for development teams.
  • Experience in financial products or finance industry preferred.
Responsibilities:

  • Establish local standards and provide input to organizational initiatives.
  • Spearhead innovative technology and best practices for new product and solution development.
  • Participate in IT strategy development including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, and portfolio development.
  • Plan and engineer systems infrastructure including hardware/software implementation and monitoring.
Skills:
  • Splunk (Enterprise & Universal Forwarders) implementation, administration, and optimization.
  • Splunk dashboards, reports, queries, and data onboarding.
  • Linux system administration in distributed environments.
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum, Sprint, Kanban).
  • Jira fundamentals (navigation, project structure, stories, features).
  • Strong operational support documentation skills.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • AWS Certification (Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).
