Job Title: IT Sr Software Architect
Location: Plano, Portsmouth, Boston (2 days onsite Per week)

Job Description.
The architecture team is actively searching for a Sr. Software Architect (Consultant). As an experienced consultant, you'll play a critical role in helping us reshape our core technology solutions with service. Your efforts will also enable and empower our customers, agents and employees with simple, scalable, and secure solutions. You will work with modern cloud-based architecture in a highly collaborative and agile engineering environment.
You will support the Service Platform Architect who is ultimately accountable for enabling software engineers and integrators within the services space in support of our business stakeholders.
Your initial focus will be on helping us transition to our north star architecture where you will drive convergence, allowing us to launch new products/services in less time. You will help create transitional architecture for all service experiences ensuring market leading capabilities and collaborate with Solution Architects to create architecture roadmaps. You will ensure alignment with the accountable service platform architect at all times.
About the role:
Partner with aligned platform architect and business stakeholders to evolve the service architecture towards our NorthStar
Help establish a clear, consistent technology vision through collaboration, influence, and enablement
Research, define and recommend the north star architecture for the service area; assist with its implementation
Drive technology proof of concepts and benchmarks to ensure feasibility of architecture platform solutions.
Support senior technical individual contributors.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
8+ years of architecture experience in a multi-platform distributed environment at a leading insurance company
Strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principles and technology modernization
Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs
Experience in messaging platforms, protocols, and techniques such as Kafka, and event sourcing
Experience with event-based application architecture and design
Experience developing applications in cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform
Experience in a wide variety of data storage technologies, from RDBMS to NoSQL, Graph and object storage
Experience with gathering end user requirements and writing technical documentation leveraging frameworks such as TOGAF and/or C4 Modeling
Experience with leading Insurance SaaS platforms such as Guidewire is a bonus
