The hiring range for this position in Seattle, Washington andNew York City, NY is $142.516 to $191,180 per year; the hiring range for this position in Santa Monica/Burbank/Glendale/L.A., California and in Bristol, Connecticut is $132,700 to $182,490; and the hiring range for this position in San Francisco, California is $148,994 to $199,870 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- A BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, backed by solid experience in backend development.
- Proven ability in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems, showcasing your technical depth and problem-solving skills.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Scala. Candidates with extensive (5+ years) experience in another Object-Oriented programming language are also encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with AWS products and services (including EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudFront, etc.), or experience with other cloud platforms, demonstrating your adaptability in cloud environments.
- In-depth experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, underscoring your ability to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- A history of successfully taking ownership of features/functionality and delivering end-to-end projects with high quality and robust architecture, reflecting your dedication and attention to detail.
- Exceptional social skills with a proven track record of working effectively with multi-functional business partners, highlighting your team-oriented mindset.
- The capability to delve into any technical component, coupled with an understanding of the overall system architecture, demonstrating your comprehensive approach to technology.

- Experience in functional programming, preferably Scala.
