Job Title: USB Display Testing Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Experience: 5-7 Years

Job Description:

We are looking for a USB Display Testing Engineer to validate and ensure compliance of USB and display features across products. The role focuses on automation, compliance testing, and system-level debugging for USB and display technologies using industry-standard tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python

  • Create and maintain test plans for USB, USB-C, Power Delivery, and display interfaces

  • Perform USB-IF and VESA compliance testing

  • Validate USB software stack, enumeration, and class drivers

  • Debug and document system-level hardware and software issues

  • Perform lab-based testing using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and power tools


Required Skills:

  • Strong Python automation experience

  • Deep knowledge of USB 2.0/3.x, USB-C, Power Delivery (PD)

  • Experience with HDMI, DisplayPort, and DP Alt Mode

  • Hands-on experience with compliance and interoperability testing

  • Expertise in hardware-level testing and defect management


Preferred Skills:

  • Linux and Windows system administration

  • Bash scripting and networking basics


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • 5-7 years of USB and display testing experience
