This is a contract to hire position! 9 months to hire - will convert permanent

Looking for Local talent in Chicagoland!!

Must have:

7+ years of experience in Software development for Product cycle

Experienced in C++/Linux for Software development

Experience within Socket Programming and point of sales development

Background in QML/Qt Product development

4 year degree in Computer Science or related

Role Duties:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for various devices, ensuring they meet functional requirements and performance constraints
  • Utilize C++/Python/Linux to develop code that runs directly on microcontrollers or microprocessors, controlling hardware and managing system resources
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components in embedded systems
  • Develop device drivers to facilitate communication between software applications and hardware peripherals, such as sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces
  • Create and execute test plans to validate embedded software functionality, performance, and reliability using hardware/software integration testing
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, software requirements, and user manuals
  • Microcontroller coding/writing with the Electronics Team
  • Working on projects from the software standpoint in conjunction with Systems and Hardware Team
