Job Title: Sr. SRE - AWS Cloud Platform Engineer - 245535
Location: 100% Remote (Must be in the US | working EST or CST Hours)
Position Type: 12+ Month Contract
ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE
Medix is currently seeking an experienced AWS Site Reliability / Cloud Platform Engineer for a fully remote opportunity with one of our top Healthcare Technology clients.
Our client services a number of Federal Government end-customers, including the Department of Defense: as a result, ship is required for this role.
Our client is building a new FedRAMP High Platform to support deployment for an AWS cloud-native contact-center application that also has Azure Infrastructure components (70% AWS, 30% Azure). This Engineer will be joining a team to build the AWS Infrastructure, AWS Networking and Terraform code from scratch, while also navigating a hybrid-cloud environment (Azure).
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
- Working in a team environment to build an automated deployment platform for a custom-built, AWS cloud-native call center application
- Seeking deep expertise in AWS infrastructure, networking and security (preferably in a highly compliant industry - ie, FedRAMP High, DISA, NIST 800-53, HITRUST, etc.
- Developing and managing complex Terraform to automate AWS infrastructure, networking and security.
- Automating the entire CI/CD pipeline process - from code repository through containerization and deployments to test/ staging / prod in Kubernetes
- Orchestrating and managing containers through Amazon ECR
- Following a variety of deployment strategies (ie, blue-green, canary, etc)
- Investigating and resolving the escalated engineering issues for production workloads in a cloud environment
- Setting up the application logging and metrics using using Observability Tools - like CloudWatch
- Documenting best-processes and standards for knowledge-base
- Assisting in support software and/or cloud-infrastructure on an on-call rotation basis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- ship is required
- 8-10+ years total experience
- Must have both AWS and Azure cloud experience
- Core Expertise (7+ Years) in AWS Services and Infrastructure /Networking
- Expertise with Terraform
- Experience with Containerization, ECR and Kubernetes Deployments
- Experience with AWS CloudWatch for observability
