Job Purpose and Impact

  • The Sr. Application Developer- SAP Security job builds, maintains, integrates and implements software applications focused on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) within enterprise applications. With minimal supervision, this job performs complex software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. This developer uses security solutions such as Onapsis and Security Bridge, ensuring robust protection of ERP systems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Security Strategy & Architecture
    • Define and implement platform security strategies aligned with business goals and threat landscape.
    • Validate new architectures and integrations for compliance with security standards.
    • Assess security impact of new applications and changes; enforce secure-by-design principles.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
    • Ensure compliance with Regulatory Framework -Cargill Controls Framework
    • Enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Maintain visibility on risk posture, compliance status, and remediation progress.
  • Platform Security Operations
    • Lead monitoring, incident response, and threat detection.
    • Manage vulnerabilities: scanning, prioritization, remediation.
    • Collaborate with TGRC teams: SOC, IAM, Controls, InfoSec, and Tools for cohesive security.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Act as security liaison for solution teams and platform owners.
    • Drive initiatives: hardening, secure baselines, automation.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to foster security-first culture.
  • Security Awareness & Training
    • Promote security accountability across teams.
    • Deliver targeted training on best practices, emerging threats, and secure development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Experience with SAP Security systems

Short Description

The expected salary for this position is $105,000- $145,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
