Job Details
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a strong healthcare background for a hybrid position (must come into the Austin office for meetings and as required) with our Austin, Texas client. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a proven track record of translating healthcare processes and requirements into effective IT solutions and documentation. This role will require effectively bridging the gap between clinical departments, administrative units, and IT teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work on complex business problems, analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures for improvements.
- Work closely with end-users to develop a detailed understanding of their IT needs and define requirements for new or improved systems.
- Conduct requirements gathering meetings. Document meeting minutes and drive closure of action items.
- Visualize, diagram, and explain As-Is and To-Be business process flows.
- Actively seek first-hand customer insights and use that feedback to drive continuous improvements in products and services
- Consistently communicate and act with the client s needs in mind, building and maintaining effective relationships that earn trust and respect.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years demonstrated, hands-on experience in business analysis related technology industry, including preparing business analysis and project documents.
- Strong background in the Healthcare industry
- Strong communication and facilitation skills (both verbal and written).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to act in a consultative role to understand functional business processes, related IT needs, and to develop solutions and delivery proposals.
- Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Strong process analysis and technical writing skills.
- Proficient with modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Visio).
- Strong facilitation skills, including leading meetings, presentation skills, and problem resolution/mediation.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible enough to work through the issues to get the right things done.
- Understands communication channels and escalates appropriately
