We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst for a hybrid contract in Austin, TX (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
Responsibilities:
The Senior Business Analyst will review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, formulate solutions to align with overall business strategies, and identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation. This role involves conducting business process reengineering (BPR), developing business architecture artifacts, engaging stakeholders across business and IT teams, and translating complex requirements into actionable specifications. The analyst will act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure seamless alignment and measurable improvements in operational efficiency, service quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
12 years of progressive experience in a Business Architect or similar strategic role, focusing on enterprise-level initiatives
12 years of experience successfully leading or significantly contributing to large-scale digital transformation and business process reengineering projects
12 years of expertise with MITA (Medicaid Information Technology Architecture), including practical application in complex system environments
10 years of exceptional business modeling skills, proficient with BPMN, UML, ArchiMate, and enterprise architecture frameworks
10 years of superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
10 years of excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
10 years of strong negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
8 years of a Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master s preferred)
8 years of demonstrated ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups on complex business problems
Preferred Qualifications:
12 years of previous experience with Health and Human Services integrated eligibility systems (e.g., Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, CHIP)
10 years of previous experience working within a government or public sector environment
10 years of knowledge of relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
