Sr. DBA / BI Engineer - SQL, Optimization, ETL Data Warehouse Cloud

Our Client, An Education Focused Tech Company, is looking for a Sr. SQL DBA / BI Engineer Data Warehouse Engineer to join their team in Culver City, CA!

Hybrid Schedule 2-3 days a week in the office

As the SQL DBA you will be alongside the Sr. Developer on a team of 15 to support a Data warehousing project. They currently don't have one and will be implementing the new DWH in Amazon Redshift. You will help manage their current Databases and support the Redshift implementation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years experience within DB / DBA / BI
• MS SQL/T-SQL, SQL Server to optimize queries for speed and performance
• Understanding of BI/DW within MS SQL Environment
• Experience with Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio Team Server, and/or Azure DevOps
• Proficient with SQL development - ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code and design (stored
• procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
• Understanding of ETL Ptocesses
• Understagin of any cloud systems like Azure Devops
• Experience with SSRS, SSIS ,SSAS is a MUST
• Experience with DMS, CDC, and Redshift

Nice to Have Skills

• NoSQL
• Star Schema or Snowflake
• Experience with AWS - RDS - DynamnoDB
• Cloud with Azure or AWS
• Data Warehouse / Data Lakes
• Communicates well cross-functionally and can serve as a "bridge" between technical and non-technical
