Join Our Team in Agoura Hills, CA!
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our dynamic team in Agoura Hills, CA, for a leading Financial Services client. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a 100% onsite role with a 6-month Contract-to-Hire arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade database systems within a mortgage lending environment.
- Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and operations teams to ensure database infrastructure is efficient, secure, and scalable.
- Enhance performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and apply best practices in data management.
- Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and security measures to support mission-critical workloads.
- Drive automation and consistency across environments using PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Manage and optimize AWS-based SQL Server workloads, ensuring cost efficiency and scalability.
- Oversee multi-environment deployment strategies, ensuring seamless Dev, QA, and Prod delivery.
Required Skills:
- PowerShell Experience: Strong ability to develop robust, idempotent PowerShell scripts for SQL Server configuration, security, and maintenance. Hands-on experience with the dbatools PowerShell module is highly advantageous.
- AWS Expertise: Solid understanding of EC2, EBS, S3, and networking fundamentals. Ability to apply cost optimization strategies to large-scale SQL Server workloads on AWS.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform: Experience designing and managing AWS infrastructure for SQL Server using Terraform. Skilled in authoring Terraform configurations for EC2, EBS, Security Groups, and IAM roles.
- SQL Server Experience: Expertise in SQL Server installation, configuration, security hardening, and performance optimization. Proven success designing and implementing High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions, especially Always On Availability Groups.
- Deployment Strategy: Experience building multi-environment deployment pipelines (Dev, QA, Prod) and skilled in parameterization techniques for handling environment-specific configurations and secrets in Terraform and PowerShell.
