Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr. Java Developer:
- Deliver hands-on Java development, leveraging a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and enterprise software design
- Develop and deploy applications in a cloud environment, preferably Google Cloud Platform, but AWS or Azure experience is also acceptable
- Work within a SaaS product environment, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering and shipping products under aggressive timelines
- Utilize AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Google Code Assist, or similar
- Apply modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, containerization, microservices, and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work schedule
Required Skills for Sr. Java Developer:
- 7-10 years of hands-on Java development experience
- Proven experience developing and deploying applications in a cloud environment
- Prior experience working in SaaS product environments
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with AI coding tools
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for staying current with new technologies
- Relevant bachelor's degree is highly preferred
