Sr. Jira Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Jira/Atlassian Administrator to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Jira and other Atlassian tools to support project management, workflows, and collaboration across the organization. This is a fully remote opportunity where you'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure our Atlassian environment meets business needs and scales effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
• Create and manage custom workflows, fields, screens, permission schemes, and automation rules.
• Support end-users with troubleshooting, training, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters for teams and leadership.
• Manage integrations between Atlassian tools and other enterprise applications.
• Perform system upgrades, apply patches, and ensure overall system health.
• Maintain governance and documentation of configuration, standards, and processes.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into Jira/Atlassian solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Jira/Atlassian Administrator (3+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and related add-ons/plugins.
• Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and integrations (e.g., ScriptRunner, REST APIs).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and ITSM practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
• Atlassian certifications (ACP or similar) are a plus.
