World Wide Technology is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer. This job is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.
Sr. Network Engineer (Cellular SME)
Duration: 6+Months, possibility to extend
Location: Edwardsville, IL
Designation: On Site 5 days/week
Essential Functions:
- Senior network engineer with advanced experience working with Arista fabric switching technologies (VxLAN/EBGP)
- Ideal candidate would have cross-platform experience with one or more of the following: Versa/Fortinet (SD-WAN), Juniper (Wi-Fi), Forescout eyeSight/Segment (NAC), and/or Cradlepoint/cellular.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Create runbooks for L1
- Receive escalations from L1
- Identify automation opportunities
- Develop reporting
- 7+ - 10 years of experience
Preferred Certifications:
- Juniper JNCIP or JNCIE
- Arista ACE or equivalent
- SD-WAN certification (Versa or similar) is a plus
- ITIL or other relevant process management certification is a plus.
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $55.00 to $65.00 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
