Sr. QA Consultant for direct banking client
Work schedule - hybrid 3 days in office in midtown NYC

Equity trading business knowledge is a MUST
Looking for experienced manual QA analyst with understanding of front office trading workflow.
9 + years of QA experience and manual aspect of trading application and OMS - proprietary trading application.
Someone who has strong background with business workflow on equity trading.
Should know how to use application from traders perspective, knowledge on performing day to day trading functions.
Experience with compliance related to trading - they should have knowledge of different regulatory reporting.
Experience with JIRA for bug tracking and workflow management.
Understanding of Jira, tracking workflow management, proper escalation, analytical abilities.
Job Description:
Duties:
Perform manual QA testing of front-end trading applications with a focus on front office equities workflows.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and traders to understand requirements, create comprehensive test cases, and document QA procedures.
Conduct functional, regression, and ad-hoc testing for new features, emergency bug fixes, and system upgrades.
Validate workflows across:
Front Office (High-touch trading, Electronic trading, Global program trading, ETF basket creation/redemption, PnL calculation, Stock loan locate, IOI, Market data)
Middle office (Booking, Manual allocation, CTM, FIX allocation)
Compliance (RegNMS, RegSHO, TRF, ORF, TRACE, CAT reporting)
Report, track, and manage defects using JIRA.
Troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs, SQL queries, and test results, escalating as appropriate.
Work independently as well as collaboratively in a global team environment.
Skills
9+ years of QA testing experience in financial services, with a strong emphasis on manual testing of trading applications.
Strong knowledge of equities trading workflows and front office technology.
Hands-on experience with FIX protocol for order flow and allocations.
Familiarity with compliance reporting requirements.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with JIRA for bug tracking and workflow management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document issues clearly and work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
