Short Description:

The Developer will support the creation of an Intranet HUB SharePoint Site and support the Digital Services SharePoint unit to design and develop a SharePoint portal unifying various existing SharePoint sites. In addition, this Developer will develop other sites as requested, respond and resolve SharePoint related issues, assist with the development of a governance structure, develop best practices and create training materials and conduct training for site owners and end users on site ownership and knowledge transfer activities to staff members

Responsibilities:

  • Create a Central Intranet HUB in SharePoint environment using designed templates for consistency.
  • Manage and track project activities including project schedule, provide project plans and obtain necessary approvals prior to new SharePoint site launches.
  • Provide SharePoint site owner and user training sessions and knowledge transfer activities to SharePoint team members.
  • Design and develop internal and public facing SharePoint team and/or communication sites based on user and/or program requirements.
  • Create and use designed templates to rapidly generate solutions that satisfy business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams on various site development efforts.
  • Add Users, set up roles, controlling access to site document libraries, and setting permissions as requested.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint technical issues or malfunctions.
  • Configure the SharePoint system to specified requirements for various SharePoint sites.
  • Communicate with program areas to gather and document business requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Provide overall project oversight and provide updates on project progress to leadership.
  • Research and analyze industry s best practices and innovations to continuously improve process workflows and create greater efficiencies.
  • Create governance structure on site administration and SharePoint usage utilizing industry best practices and previous lessons learned.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Create Forms using PowerApps and Power Automate for the HUB Intranet Migration to SharePoint environment.

Required Skills:

  • Master s degree in information technology, computer science, or similar related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years as a SharePoint developer, architect or site administrator
  • Extensive knowledge in Windows operating systems, PowerBI, PowerShell, Office365, SharePoint, Power Automate.
  • Extensive knowledge with SharePoint tools, workflows, PowerApps, and Form development.
  • Experience with Cloud and Hybrid SharePoint deployments.
  • Experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience with developing SharePoint site templates, lists, libraries, workflows, and various site collections.
  • Experience in developing SharePoint training materials and conducting training classes for large audiences for site owners and users.
