Title: Sr. Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL (Local candidates only must commute onsite)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Interview: 2 Rounds 1st round screening with manager (Teams), 2nd round panel interview (Onsite)
Top 3 skillsets: Object-Oriented Programming, Game SRE experience, Engineering/Software Development.
Role Overview
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will design and develop attraction models with Disney s suite of in-house engineering tools. You will work alongside a versatile team of engineers in a hybrid environment to deliver physics-based simulations and engineering applications that enhance ride and show experiences.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain physics-based simulations using multiple programming languages.
Build applications and drivers to interface with control system hardware.
Support evaluation and implementation of new engineering software tools.
Present optimized design options for existing and proposed attractions.
Participate in design reviews for attraction modifications.
Partner with engineering teams to ensure accurate attraction simulation development.
Assist in proposal writing, validation plans, and performance verification studies.
Support global engineering teams with dynamic analysis techniques.
Influence software tool and platform decisions for analysis.
Apply and develop supporting software tools.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years experience in systems/software engineering (entertainment or general engineering industry).
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (C++ and/or C# preferred).
Hands-on development using Unity3D or Unreal game engines.
Strong experience with software design, coding, debugging, and algorithms.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Leadership experience in mentoring technical teams and project management.
Familiarity with Visual Studio and Agile practices (Scrum, sprints, retrospectives).
Knowledge of PLC hardware, programming, troubleshooting.
Experience with dynamic systems, statistical modeling, source control (GitHub/GitLab).
Strong physics and mathematics background (differential equations, modeling).
Bachelor s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science (ABET certified).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in entertainment engineering (ride/show control systems, PLC programming).
Knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts/tools (SysML, IDEF0).
Familiarity with Matlab, Simulink, MathCad, SolidWorks, ANSYS.
Post-graduate engineering degree (preferred).
