THE ROLE:
As an SMTS Product Development Engineer, you will be leading cross functional discussions that combine foundry technology and silicon performance and software modeling. The goals will be to find the best balance between product specifications and product cost. The field is becoming broader with programmable logic and semi custom device considerations.
The Global Operations and Quality Characterization team is responsible for measuring device performance. There are measurements during new product introduction and there are measurements during production test of every part. Defining the right content and using it to make accurate predictions is key.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead team in characterization strategies for programmable logic and interconnect
Understand the relationship between foundry process and product performance
Improve silicon performance models with intelligent designs and advanced test techniques
Communicate across multiple geographies to plan, design, measure, and tune timing models
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Languages: Verilog or other HDL
Software: Vivado, Vitis, and scripting languages
Data Analytics/Visualization
FPGA or Firmware experience
Static Timing Analysis
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines.
LOCATION:
