  • Identify and resolve integration challenges through design reviews, simulations, and risk assessments (e.g., DFMEA)
  • Manage critical component development and qualification activities with multiple suppliers, ensuring alignment on quality, cost, and delivery timelines
  • Conduct on-site visits to supplier facilities (domestic and international) to oversee manufacturing processes, validate production readiness, and make on-the-spot critical decisions

  • Provide technical expertise during vehicle program launches and supplier readiness assessments
  • Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership

Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in automotive engineering, with a strong focus on supplier industrialization, safety systems (restraints, airbags), and interior component integration
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time
  • Deep knowledge of automotive safety and restraints systems and their integration with interior components
  • Familiarity with vehicle crashworthiness, occupant protection, and global safety regulations
