A pioneering AI company based in Los Angeles is seeking a Staff Data Engineer. This role, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), will be pivotal in shaping the organization's data infrastructure and team. The product you will be working on will be used by millions of people and will help make things more seamless in this specific space.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Drive the technical vision, design, and development of data systems, encompassing Data Ingestion, Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and Analytical Data products.
  • Hands-On Expertise: Architect, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with emerging technologies to innovate data engineering practices.
  • Communication: Articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address data-related challenges, implementing robust solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven track record in a senior data engineering role, handling large-scale data sets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Snowflake, SQL, Python, Spark, AWS, Airflow, Redshift, and Databricks
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor a team of data engineers.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business sense to align technical initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to troubleshooting data engineering challenges.
