Job Description
A global online learning platform is hiring a Senior Staff Data Security Privacy Engineer to design, build, and scale critical systems, process, and controls that protect the company's and users' data. You'll work alongside cybersecurity, engineering, and legal teams, building out data privacy systems and processes from the ground up. This is a hands on role, where you'll work across security, privacy, and data infrastructure, develop privacy-enhancing capabilities, design and implement data classification and mapping methodologies, and conduct risk assessments of internal and third party systems. You'll work across various regulatory frameworks, such as GDPR, CCPA, NIST, ISO, etc.
Ideal candidates have hands on experience at the intersection of security, privacy, and data infrastructure, and have led privacy risk mitigation efforts. Candidates must have previous experience evolving a company's data security practices.
This role is remote.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in information security, privacy engineering, or related roles
- Experience with global data protection laws such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.
- Experience in incident response, data protection engineering, and risk assessments
- Experience with data classification, mapping, and governance methodologies
- Experience with data loss prevention technologies
- Experience implementing privacy workflows and automation
