Job Description Summary
Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of Operations, via integrated master schedule, metrics, and dashboard management. Impacts the team's ability to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manages integrated master schedule for the organization, inclusive of managing interfaces and driving program execution.
  • Initiates, creates, and manages metrics for program deliverables across functions and management levels.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally, maintaining and improving upon current schedule and task management.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility.
  • Supports budget and resource management, and interfaces with contractors, suppliers, customers and internal functions.
  • Supports the program to meet customer critical to quality requirements (CTQ's).
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • Coordination across Future of Flight Programs as well as the FLIGHT DECK support team.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology related discipline from accredited University or College
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Aerospace Engineering (or Supply Chain role)

Desired Characteristics
  • Master's degree from accredited university or college
  • Exposure to Program Management process within Aerospace Industry
  • Knowledge of Aerospace budget & resource planning process
  • Experience in leading project execution and task management
  • Prior NPI and/or Technology Maturation experience
