Our ambition in Software & Services Product Management is to build a world-class software development culture that is part of the company's shared vision. We are creating an elite portfolio of software-defined vehicles by tightly integrating software, hardware, and services to create complete and compelling vehicle experiences for our customers.

The Role:

As the Product Manager for Core Driving Experience, you'll be at the forefront of redefining how users connect with their vehicles, transforming everyday commutes into personalized, intuitive journeys. You will lead the vision for the seamless customization of our control's interfaces. From enabling One Pedal Drive configurations that let drivers fine-tune deceleration for greater comfort and control, to reimagining how users interact with traditional mechanical systems. By re-imagining the electronic interface to the core propulsion, body, and chassis systems you will simplify the experience and unlock entirely new ways for drivers to adapt their vehicle to changing terrains and conditions with no technical expertise required.

By giving users, the ability to personalize these settings, or enabling the vehicle to intelligently configure them automatically, you're ensuring that every drive feels tailored, effortless, and aligned with the user's preferences. This not only enhances satisfaction but also builds trust in the vehicle's capabilities and the brand's commitment to user-centric innovation.

Success in this role requires a deep understanding of human-machine interaction and a passion for elevating the driver's experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, UX, research, and regulatory to deliver experiences that are not only functional and compliant but also emotionally resonant.

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, makes principled decisions, and builds consensus across diverse teams. A passion for vehicles is essential as your work will directly shape how millions of drivers feel behind the wheel: confident, informed, and deeply connected to their driving experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Define and own the long-term product vision, setting strategic direction for the core driving experience across the vehicle portfolio while balancing each vehicle segment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure traditional core experiences are enhanced to elevate the overall ownership experience.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Legal, Design, Engineering, Program, and Product Management to deliver intuitive customer experiences that align with both user expectations and business goals.
  • Monitor emerging trends and leverage data, research, and market analysis to inform, prioritize, and drive execution of a product roadmap spanning driver control interfaces, information, and interaction.
  • Champion a data-driven culture by establishing and tracking key metrics that measure the usefulness and quality of feature content in customers' hands.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software), Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working on technology-powered products
  • 3+ years of experience managing complex automotive software and hardware products
  • Demonstrated ability to balance trade-offs between consumer needs, legal or regulatory requirements, and business objectives
  • Proven experience solving complex problems with multiple constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks and present well-structured, data-informed written arguments
  • Skilled in identifying key data and metrics necessary for decision-making and understanding the implications of their movement
  • Strong communication and storytelling abilities, with a talent for articulating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills)
  • M.S. in Engineering or Business
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management
  • 3+ years of experience with Embedded Software, Controls or Vehicle Integration
  • Deep knowledge of product development, lifecycle and program execution deliverables
  • Industry expertise in driver controls and interface technologies
