Strategy & Operations Lead (Change Manager)

Location: 100% Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Strategy, Operating Rhythm & Transformation Consultant to support our team in assessing current-state ways of working, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving execution of operating rhythm and governance changes.

The ideal consultant brings strong strategic thinking, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and a proven consulting toolkit to translate ambiguity into clear problem statements, actionable recommendations, and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities 1. Discovery & Analysis
  • Conduct structured discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews to understand the current operating model, processes, decision flows, and team interactions

  • Identify pain points, gaps, inefficiencies, and root causes across people, process, technology, and governance

  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear insights and problem statements

2. Strategy & Recommendation Development
  • Develop hypotheses, options, and recommendations for operating model and workflow improvements

  • Redesign or enhance operating rhythms, including:

    • Meeting cadences

    • Governance structures

    • Decision-making forums

    • Cross-functional touchpoints

  • Translate insights into strategic frameworks and compelling narrative storylines

3. Execution & Change Support
  • Partner with leaders and teams to implement agreed-upon operating model and rhythm changes

  • Support rollout of new processes, meeting structures, communication norms, and accountability mechanisms

  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and adjust execution plans as needed

4. Facilitation & Collaboration
  • Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and alignment forums to gather input, build consensus, and drive decisions

  • Act as a thought partner to leadership and cross-functional teams, bringing clarity and structure to ambiguous discussions

5. Deliverable Creation
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, analyses, frameworks, and documentation

  • Produce materials that clearly communicate insights, recommendations, and implementation plans

  • Create documentation that supports long-term adoption and sustainability of new operating rhythms

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5 10+ years of experience in:

    • Management consulting

    • Strategy

    • Operating model design

    • Organizational effectiveness or related roles

  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills

  • Proven experience leading discovery sessions and designing improved operating rhythms

  • High proficiency in creating executive-level deliverables (decks, frameworks, narrative documents)

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple organizational levels

  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and drive work with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with organizational design, business process redesign, or enterprise transformation initiatives

  • Background in technology, product, or cross-functional operating models (preferred but not required)

  • Familiarity with change management practices and adoption strategies
